The Wahgunyah Football and Netball Club is a community based, family orientated Football and Netball Club participating in the Tallangatta and District Football League and the affiliated Tallangatta and District Netball Association.
Our clubs boasts over 150 players across 5 football teams (Under 12’s, Under 14’s, Under 17’s, Reserves and Seniors) and 7 netball teams (Midgets, Under 13’s, Under 15’s, Under 18’s, C-Grade, B-Grade and A-Grade).
Our club has achieved great success over many years both on and off the football field and netball court. This success can be attributed to our unwavering commitment to being a family focused Club which provides opportunities for your whole family to enjoy being involved with our great club.
Since being established in 1889 our Senior football team has a rich history of success winning premierships in 1896, 1907, 1909, 1919, 1924, 1948, 1949, 1954, 1955, 1968, 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2004. Our A-Grade netball team also has a proud and successful history winning a total of 16 premierships. Our club has also enjoyed tremendous success at junior levels in both football and netball together with many premierships in reserve football and B and C-Grade netball.
In 2008 our club left the Coreen & District Football League and joined the Tallangatta and District Football League and the affiliated Tallangatta and District Netball Association. In our 9 years since joining this league we have built the foundations of a progressive club planning for success, stability and a strong presence in the League for many years to come.
